Family fun
Apart from the obvious attractions of the beaches of the Mediterranean and those of the mountain lakes, the following will appeal particularly, to children:-
- African animal reserve (1 hour from Autignac) with 3500 animals, open all year.
- Farm zoo, with over 200 animals, set by the River Orb
- An ostrich zoo and falconry/eagle centre, both at Carcassone. The latter encourages children to participate in the handling of the birds in the daily flying displays.
- A water park (Toons hand) at Cap d'Agde
- A karting track, also at Cap d'Agde
